this was christmas of i'd say, 1999? i showed up in my zebra striped heels, grandma showed up in her leopard print coat from the 60's that now hangs i my closet. it was a moment.
my grandma called me 'maverick' after her mother's nickname.
then a couple of villans who shall remain nameless went and ruined it for what seems like forever. will it ever blow over so i can remember her instead of them?

Nice pix, I hadn't seen that one before. She has been on my mind all day today. I'll never stop missing my Mom. If she were still with us she would be telling me how much she is looking forward to your Christmas visit. She thought you were a high class Kat. Lizard Lurker
I got grandma a tin of Almond Roca every year. That was my saddest moment when I was Christmas shopping last year...I grabbed a tin of it for her and then realized I wouldn't be able to give it to her.
This year I reclaimed the Christmas apron I made for Grammy when I was in highschool. I think I'll wear it this year.
I so remember this year of the fancy fabrics. You two were two peas in a pod. Too bad Alex didn't have his Xebra car then. What a picture that would've been.
kitty joe ste-Marie lives in greenpoint, brooklyn and has catlike reflexes and the ingenuity of Lex Luthor. her mental fortitude is also somewhat legendary.
kitty joe enjoys eating toenails (just as a snack), doesn't take BS, enjoys the new york times just for the articles, thinks patchouli oil should be banned, believes a fake bio is a real sign of genius (and a subtle cry for help), and wonders what you're doing right now. stay alive, she will find you.
