it's official...

it appears that people in tokyo have no sense of personal space. for the brief 24 hours i was there i was indeed surprised by their sheer space efficiency. americans in general are too lazy to trek up 6 stories, as is necesary to patronize the restaurants stacked floor upon floor upon floor in that city. impressive. i know more than a few people who would--if caught in the middle of this wave pool--whip out a gun and go postal. i have fond memories of the wave pool at wild waves in seattle, washington. they don't go like this:

Oh my, I guess there is no point in having lifeguards, they'd never know if anyone needed help! A disaster waiting to happen!!! Sister Christian

I went to a water park near Tokyo and thought it was crowded, but it was nothing like that! Actually, it was pretty cool, there was a big ring of water circulating around the whole building, and a wave pool that people could surf in. kn

(emir and haley too, if they come) (kidding)(actually of course we could take you there if you REALLY want to, but nothing in the entire cosmos can make me go in that pool of sweat)(I can reconsider if you bring 2 kgs of pistacchio baklava from NY gulluoglu with you)

ooh. i didn't think about the condition of the water...nasty. can you imagine what it must look/smell like after those 5 million people get out?
